*see part one, here*
the week just kept getting BETTER. food, and all. by day 3 and 4 our feet were dying, but we kept on going! we did everything there is to do in NY that was on our top priority list and the things we had time for that we wanted to do most. but seriously, the days just kept getting better!
FRIDAY // day 3
Friday we went shopping at the shopping district called SOHO. they have every store you can imagine! seriously. think of a store, and they probably have it. I even went to my first Zara, which I loved.
^^^ and DASH! the Kardashian store! which I have always wanted to go to, even if I can't afford anything in the store. {everything in there was over $250. even the WATER there was $15.}
we stopped for a bite to eat {PIZZA at the very first pizza restaurant in America! it's called Lombardis}, and took the subway back to our hotel
we relaxed for an hour, and headed to china town and got foot massages which were REALLY necessary :)
and dinner that night was in Little Italy!
after dinner, we headed to the empire state building! the view was incredible. and, if you are wondering why the top is colored like the rainbow, it was National Gay week. *eye...roll...* welcome to New York.
SATURDAY // day 4
more shopping! our favorite :) this time we headed to the upper east side {aka, the expensive district}
we also went to FAO SCHWARZ, the biggest toy store in the world!
and Dylans candy store, which had some awesome candy!
for lunch, Serendipity. which is famous for their frozen hot chocolate! this was the best restaurant I have ever been to. we had dessert, lunch, then dessert again :) I MISS IT. I dream of having those desserts again. {cause like I said, my favorite part of NY was the food!}
we walked over to Central Park after, {which I had no idea how big it is!} did you know they have an entire Zoo in there? AND a mall? it's 60 blocks!
we watched boat races and visited the Alice statue!
and we looked super tourist-y while doing so :)
farmers market shopping, and visiting Rockafeller Square + NBC studios that afternoon as well!
that night we went to the Broadway show, Newsies! which was AMAZING. we LOVED it! and we even got to meet all of the performers + get their autographs!
chillin in times square at midnight for our last night!
and a late night dinner. because that's what we love.
SUNDAY // day 5
we headed out to the ferry that takes you around the river to see the Statue of Liberty! which is actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be. but it was super cool to see, and the view of NY was incredible!
we kissed the city goodbye and headed for the airport at 3. k
I miss it already. a lot. it was even better than I imagined {and I had high hopes!} I wish so much that I could relive those 5 days. I loved it! I loved the food, shopping, the site seeing, the relaxing, and spending lots of money on expensive things you can only find in the fabulous city of New York. do I regret eating 6 different desserts in a day and eating so much we could hardly walk to the next activity? not one bit. {because luckily the walking balanced it allllllll out :)}
I love you NY! and I miss you already. thanks for providing me with a F A B U L O U S senior trip with my favorite girl in the world.
